( Brief )
The Double Diamond is a design framework that guides teams through two phases. 1) Discover & Define 2) Develop and Deliver.
Studied SAR missions, aircraft environments (Airbus C295), and mission operator workflows. Identified key needs like quick zone marking and situational awareness.
01
Framed the goal: Design an interface that enables mission operators to act fast and accurately during rescue missions. Prioritized features: zone marking, team tracking, alert management.
02
Sketched layout ideas. Focused on a map-first UI with supporting modules (comms, overlays, tasks). Used a dark theme with color for alerts.
03
Built high-fidelity UI and tested it in cockpit-like renders. Refined based on usability and visual clarity under pressure.
04

( Key features )
Touch-based controls for marking, adjusting, and color-coding rescue zones for clear identification.
01
Real-time tracking of aircraft and mission progress, with weather and satellite data integration.
02
Chronological task tracker with alerts, ensuring timely execution of mission tasks.
03
Adaptable for touch, hardware controls, and voice commands for a seamless experience in varying environments.
04
Context-sensitive design, minimizing distractions and focusing on relevant data as the mission progresses.
05
Ergonomically designed interface with easy-to-reach controls for reducing cognitive load during high-pressure tasks.
